eCommerce
If you have an offline business or want to trade exclusively online then you are entering the world of eCommerce.
An eCommerce solution is not just a shopping cart attached to your website – there are many factors to consider from the moment a clients enters your site until they receive their product or service. Your website can become the main sales channel for your business so it must be designed and executed well. It is also an ideal chance for you to expand your business out of your local area such as Newcastle upon Tyne or the North-East and sell your product to the UK and the rest of the World.
I can either: seamlessly integrate a store as extension of your current website using the same design or we can start from scratch and I can build your eCommerce site from the bottom, up – so you can showcase and sell your products and/or services.

Products
You will be in full control of all your products with the ability to split them into categories and add variances of each product (e.g. size or colour). As well as selling physical products you may wish to sell digital files such as MP3s and videos. You may will to sell a particular service or you may wish to sell subscriptions to your website – whatever you want to sell, it’s possible through eCommerce.
Promotions
You will be able to apply promotions to your products; whether it be “2 for 1″, “25% off product X” or “£50 off the total of your cart”. Having that flexibility means you can quickly offer your customers the best deals as part of a sale, or in response to your competition. You may also wish to give coupons to your loyal customers, like you would if they came into your store.
Fulfillment
You and the customer will get e-mails notifications when a product is ordered so you can start the fulfillment process as soon as possible. You can manage the shipping of your product whilst the customer can track their order within their personal account on the site. Once a product has been bought your stock will be updated so you can keep track of your inventory at all times – you can also add and remove stock manually in case you sell your product in store.
You can also create “on-the-fly” reports about your customers, orders or products and can keep in contact with your customers through e-mail marketing.
Payment
There are many ways in which customers can pay through your site and there are many ways for you to collect your payment with the most common below:
- Paypal
- RBS WorldPay
- HSBC ePayments
- Sage Pay
- 2Checkout
- Google Checkout
